Ready Made Frozen Shrimp. All you have to do is put them in the oven. This is a quick and easy dinner that I always have on hand.
I decided it would be a great idea to have a separate category of some super quick meals that can be put together in less than ten minutes.
Not really a meal that you have to cook…but more like throwing dinner on the table in less than ten minutes.
When my husband and I were at Costco last week, they were giving out samples of battered shrimp.
Normally I’m not real impressed with the samples offered, but this time they were actually good…good enough to buy a box to have on hand.
The Shrimp goes on sale in October for three months only…and I buy 5 packs and freeze them to last all year.
Tonight I just didn’t feel like cooking, didn’t want food out and didn’t want leftovers.
I reached for the box of Tempura shrimp out of the freezer, made a green salad from a ready made bag…and
in the short time it took to heat the shrimp, dinner was ready and on the table.
The shrimp heated for ten minutes. In that time the salad was made, table set and cocktail sauce made.
Super quick, super easy and super good.
The Box of Shrimp
It comes in these neat little trays which allow you to leave some frozen, or like we did tonight…cook them all.
There is a small amount of grease on the baking sheet after you heat them, but placing them on a paper towel adsorbs it all very quickly.
I started with two small sticks of shrimp, but ended up eating four.
I heated the entire box and we ate all but two…those I ate for lunch cold. 🙂
There would probably be at least five on my husbands plate…but this is perfect for me.
The cocktail sauce is nothing more than ketchup, hot mustard and tabasco.
The shrimp comes with small packets of sauce also, but we didn’t use any.
For a super quick no cook dinner…this is really good.
