One half cup of Chili Sauce

One half cup of Brown Sugar

One half cup of Bourbon

DIRECTIONS:

Mix the ingredients together in a pan and bring to a boil. Continue cooking about 25 minutes until the sauce becomes thick.

This is one easy and delicious appetizer to make. It takes 25 minutes to simmer and thicken and that’s it. Soooo worth the small wait.

One package small cocktail wieners

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 brown sugar

1/2 cup chili sauce

1/2 cup bourbon.

There is a story behind the bourbon, mine is in the original decanter that has been used for over 20 years. I had this little plaque made for my Momma, she would have a glass each night if she wasn’t having a martini. She called her Bourbon her kick in the pants.

You can tell when it’s done because it gets nice and thick. I decided to throw a whole jalapeno in with the hot dogs this time and when it still wasn’t hot enough I cut in in half. Really nice heat with the sweet sauce.

I was in a hurry so just served them with chips, but if you wanted to use crackers and cheese that would be amazing too! You could also use regular hot dogs and just slice them. I was looking at some spicy hot dogs yesterday and thinking they would really taste great in this sauce. Something always new and exciting to try.
