FROZEN FRUIT SMOOTHIE

IMG_6302

Super simple to make…when you don’t have fresh fruit, use frozen.  And use whatever you have on hand.

Some come out better than others, but any combination of fruit made into a smoothie seems to turn out awesome.

INGREDIENTS:

Mixed Fruit Frozen, 1 Cup

Mixed Berries Frozen, 1 Cup

Banana Frozen, 1

Orange Juice Concentrate, 1 Tablespoon

Milk, 16 ounces

Hemp seed, 1 Tablespoon

Chia seed, 1 Tablespoon

Flax seed, 1 Tablespoon

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all in the blender and mix until smooth.

With my Blendtec, I need to hit the smoothie button about three times, because I don’t want to taste any of the seeds, and I like it completely smooth.

The mixture wasn’t mixing well, so I added more milk and then it loosened up and was perfect.

Look how incredible silky this looks!  Took this shot down through the top as it was swirling around.

Done…five quick minutes and I have another perfect summer breakfast.

This makes one large glass for both my husband and me, plus a little left over that I put in a canning jar for later.

You know when it’s about 3:00 in the afternoon and you’re tired and think maybe a chocolate candy bar would be the perfect thing to snack on, for a

little boost of energy…instead I grab the remaining 6 ounces, and it is the perfect amount of sweetness to get me through until dinner.
